Privacy Policy

How does Dessie receive your information?

Through the process of purchasing clothing from our website or selling us clothing, Dessie collects personal information, including your name, address and email. Your computer’s Internet protocol (IP) address is automatically collected via your browser in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system.

How does Dessie receive your consent?

Upon completion of a transaction, when you verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase, at that point you consent to give us that information. That information applies to that particular transaction only and if, at a later date, we want to use that information for emails about upcoming sales and other updates, we will contact you for your permission. If at any point, you prefer not to be contacted by Dessie, please notify us via email at or by mail: Dessie, Inc., Attn: Customer Service, 225 N. Eastman Rd., Suite 105 PMB 254, Kingsport, TN 37664

Will your information be disclosed?

If we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service that could be a situation where your information would be disclosed.

What happens at the time of payment?

Dessie uses Stripe as a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase. Stripe stores your credit card information and it is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). After your purchase is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by Dessie and its service providers. All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover.

How could third-party services use your information?

Dessie will not sell your information. Certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions. For these providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers. Once you leave our store’s website or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or our website’s Terms of Service. Dessie may have links that will direct you away from our website. If so, we are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites and encourage you to read their privacy statements. In the event Dessie is sold or merges with another company, personal data may be transferred as part of that transaction.

What about your security?

To protect your personal information, we take precautions to make sure it is not lost, misused, inappropriately accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed. If you provide us with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer tech-nology (SSL) and stored with a AES-256 encryption. No method of Internet transmission is 100% secure or error free, so please take all reasonable steps to protect your information when sending.

How are “Cookies” Utilized?

Cookies are elements of technology used for browsers to add functionality to a site. Dessie uses cookies but they are not used to gather personal data. The “help” section on your toolbar will give directions on turning cookies off or on. We recommend though that you leave them on to take advantage of some of the features of the website.

Personal Data from Underage Children

Personal data from children under the age of 13 is never knowingly collected by Dessie. Parents and legal guardians should monitor their children’s Internet activity to ensure the enforcement of our Privacy Policy. If you suspect that a child has provided Dessie with personal data, contact us at and we will delete that information from our databases.

Revisions to this Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to revise this privacy policy at any time, and in doing so, the changes that are made will take effect immediately upon their posting on the Dessie website. We will note any updates here so you, our customers, will know of any changes to the way we collect, use, or store your data. The most current version of this policy is reflected in the heading, so your use indicates your agree-ment with the policy.
